Brian Christopher Schmidt passed away on April 5, 2026, at the age of 36, leaving behind a legacy of music, resilience, and connection. Born on December 4, 1989, in Papillion, Nebraska, he was the second child of Will and Pat Schmidt.

A funeral service honoring Brian’s life will take place at 2:00 p.m. on April 11, 2026, at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service.

He is survived by his loving parents, Will and Pat; his brothers, David and Michael; his sister-in-law, Lawson; and his niece and nephew, who will carry forward his memory.

Music was at the heart of Brian’s life. As a student, he distinguished himself as a talented trumpet player in both concert and marching bands and as a gifted tenor vocalist. His dedication earned him repeated selection to the Georgia All-State Chorus, reflecting both his talent and commitment.

Following his school years, Brian immersed himself in the music scene as the lead singer of several metal bands. He was not only a performer but also a songwriter and producer, contributing significantly to the creative output of local artists and bands. His passion for music was evident in every project he undertook.

Beyond music, Brian’s professional journey reflected adaptability and determination. He gained valuable experience in the restaurant industry before the pandemic and later expanded his skill set to include trades such as plumbing and pest control, embracing new challenges with enthusiasm.

Brian will be remembered for his vibrant personality, creative spirit, and the genuine connections he formed with others. His presence brought energy and warmth to those around him, and his loss is deeply felt by all who knew and loved him.
